A draft Decommissioning Programme (DP) has been produced for the Moray East Offshore Windfarm in line with Condition 3 of the S36 Consents for the Telford, Stevenson and MacColl offshore windfarms, Condition 18.104.22.168 of the Offshore Transmission Infrastructure (OfTI) Marine Licence and Condition 22.214.171.124 of the Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) Marine Licence.
The DP sets out the details of the wind farms and associated cabling works to be decommissioned and how they will be decommissioned.
In line with the Section 105 notice received by the project under The Energy Act 2004, the draft DP is available for comments from interested parties. Previous consultation for the DP was carried out in 2018 however, this document has been updated taking into account feedback received following consultation on Version 1 and to reflect the most recently published guidance on Decommissioning of Offshore Renewable Energy Installations under the Energy Act 2004 (BEIS, 2019) and the draft guidance for Decommissioning of Offshore Renewable Energy Installations in Scottish Waters or in the Scottish part of the Renewable Energy Zone under the Energy Act 2004 (Marine Scotland, 2019) and is subject to a further round of consultation.
Please send any comments about the DP by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org by the 20th of October 2021. Please quote “Moray East Decommissioning Programme” on any correspondence and all comments received in response to the consultation will be handled in compliance with the UK's General Data Protection Regulations.
